Container House

Assembled from three shipping containers—two 45-foot and one 33-foot volumes—this residence reimagines industrial infrastructure as domestic architecture. Sustainability is embedded in the way the house operates rather than expressed as a visual gesture. Water is drawn from eleven metres below ground, while greywater from the basins is collected and reused to supply the toilet cisterns, creating a closed-loop system that reduces resource consumption. Inside, the industrial shell gives way to warm, tactile living spaces, where natural materials and carefully considered detailing soften the raw steel structure without concealing its origins.
